Studies have confirmed that users start losing their concentration after 90 seconds while learning on their mobile devices. If you want your learners to be engaged and work alongside the learning content, then you should not go beyond two minutes. Chunking your content into small bite-sized topics is the best approach so that you do not overwhelm your learners.
MLearning makes use of creative interaction modes like rotation, speech input, and shaking a device. Using interactions like wikis, podcasts, and discussion forum for your employees allows them to collaborate with their peers. An important thing to keep in mind is that you need to gradually introduce interactivity. This enables your learners to become comfortable and results in greater confidence.

One way to deal with long text is to replace it with audio. That way, you can pass on the relevant information without overwhelming the learner. But you also need to keep in mind where the learners will access the course. If they have to listen to the audio, they need to learn in a reasonably quiet surrounding or be in an atmosphere where ear buds are appropriate. If they are accessing the module in the factory or shop floor, it might not be ideal.
