Since 1990, the emergency preparedness expertise at DQE has enabled national organizations, government agencies, thousands of hospitals, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies to better prepare for the consequences of natural and manmade disasters. DQE had a prior custom online Learning Management System and custom eLearning courses that were outdated and were built in a technology that was obsolete. updated course development and a custom Learning Management System was what DQE was aiming to have created to supply to their customers as a value added system for training. DQE has determined that customers are interested in accessing this information via mobile devices, so the system needs to be created to allow for mobile device use.
The project consisted of developing a large scale custom enterprise Learning Management System that would allow for a multitude of different learners, user groups, token systems, and custom content uploading and editing. This system is a fully customized LMS that is mobile friendly and developed to use SCORM and xAPI for tracking of learner progress.
DQE-On-Demand LMS is the custom built system developed exclusively for the Emergency Management Program Administrators. This innovative learning solution provides detailed analytics so that admins can utilize these tools to monitor the training progress, assign staff to training courses as needed, create alerts for the DQE-On-Demand Bulletin Board for staff to view, and download custom progress reports. Users are able to make DQE-On-Demand their one-stop location for all things preparedness by using the Upload Zone to store all of their emergency preparedness planning documents in one place.
