The challenge

Every condo, apartment complex, and other shared community facilities has their own set of rules on owning pets ranging from grooming habits to breed limitations to flea and tick treatment requirements. Pet health is very important, especially since untreated and uncared for pets can sometimes cause health risks for people.

After a detailed Research and Analysis phase, Designing Digitally, Inc. determined the best strategy to develop a more inviting and informative learning experience would be to utilize their expansive eLearning background mixed with their high-end 3D assets. With the goal of reaching a broad consumer range Designing Digitally, Inc. used HTML5 technologies, allowing the development to be displayed on personal computers as well as on mobile devices without the need to install native applications.

Simulating a scenario in which players follow a member of a shared community with a new pet: Living with a Dog in a Shared Community learning module employs 3D images and animations, dynamic scenarios, interactive assessments, and links to external resources and customizable documents players can download for their specific community allowing for a more customized, interactive, and appealing approach to learning about the responsibilities of a pet ownership in a shared community.

Applying a multiplex menu system the player is able to access information in a variety of ways. This gives players the ability to choose either the immersive scenario-based eLearning experience or a quicker and more direct avenue to both the learning material and quizzes.
