Our undisclosed client, deeply immersed in the fast food industry, sought an innovative approach to address the challenges associated with high employee turnover and the diminishing effectiveness of traditional 2D eLearning modules. The goal was to develop a learning solution that not only resonated with newer generations but also created a hands-on, engaging experience to improve retention rates.
The solution
Designing Digitally recognized the need for a transformative strategy and proposed the development of a 3D simulated learning tool. This tool aimed to provide a hands-on experience of day-to-day operations within the fast food restaurant environment. Learners were guided by a virtual instructor, receiving step-by-step instructions for each job duty. From putting fries in the deep fryer to handling them post-cooking, the learner engaged in a realistic, immersive experience. The learning tool was SCORM-coded, enabling tracking and scoring for comprehensive assessment.
